How to sketch the lion step by step for beginners:

Today, I sketch another predator and dangerous animal. It is called the king of the forest. This is the lion. It had a strong body and an impressive feature on its face. Its colour is yellow-brown and covered with long dark brown hair (mane) on the neck and head. Its hair makes it look aggressive. It has a permanent nose and a strong jaw. Lion hunts the prey with its sharp teeth and catches the prey with its neck. They are found in African forests. they live in a group. its habitat is grassland, savanna, and open woodland. its roars are very powerful.

Draw the guidelines in seven steps:

1: Draw the straight line and then draw another horizontal line in the middle like a slab.

2: draw the circle in which lines as guidelines for facial features.

3: draw the little circles as ears.

4: draw the two little circles down the circle to point out the snot.

5: draw a half circle below the snot for the mouth.

6: draw the two curved lines to join the circle and half circle.

7: draw the two curved lines inside the circle to attach the snot.

8: draw the oval shape around the circle for the mane(hair).

Sketch the eye, nose, cheeks, wrinkles, and face:

• Draw the eyes with curved lines and the little circle in it. 
• Draw the nose like that triangle.
• Draw the curve lines for cheeks.
• Draw the little curve lines for wrinkles.
• Draw the oval shape for the face.

Shading the sketch:

The next step is to shade my sketch. First, dark shades in the eyes, nose, and mouth. Then, I set the lion's ears like that in the picture.   

Refine and clean the sketch:

The next step is to Refine and clean the sketch. Erase the unnecessary lines in the sketch. Then, my sketch looks nice.

Sketch the fur/mane(hair) of lion sketch:

In the end, draw the fur of the lion with the help of curved lines around the neck.

Draw the douts on the mouth of the lion and draw some curved lines on the douts.

Draw the curve lines in the chin’s hair.
